The suburb of Kewarra Beach is situated on the northern beaches of Cairns, approx. 20 minutes from the CBD. Much loved by the locals due to its idyllic and private setting it is also a very sought after area to purchase property due to the lack of any room left for future tourism development.
Primarily occupied by families local amenities include a pharmacy, doctor’s surgery, hairdressers, local supermarket and video store. There are also a number of good childcare centers and the Trinity Anglican Primary School. The Paradise Palms Country Club & Golf Course is situated on the western side of Kewarra Beach.
Kewarra Beach is at the southern end of a large stretch of sand that takes in Palm Cove, Clifton Beach and itself. Protected from the south easterly swell by a rocky headland makes it an ideal spot all year round. The beach facilities include a playground, covered BBQ area, toilets and showers.
Suburb is approximately 6km2 in size.
